Starting February 4, 2013, we will be entering The Year of The Water Snake which only comes every 60 years. The last Water Snake year was 1953.
The Year of the Snake occurs every 12 years and follows the Year of the Dragon. This year the Snake is associated with the powerful element of Water.
Children born in the year of the Water Snake are intuitive, wise, diplomatic, elegant, sensuous and can have a dark personality. These individuals are very determined, motivated and can turn things in their favor with relative ease. They are resolute in getting what they want. They can be possessive, proud and vain. Water snakes are usually good and cautious with money.
This coming year all the energies are visiting their respective sectors. It means the annual “6” energy will be in the Northwest, the annual “7” energy will be in the West, the “8” in the Northeast, the “9” in the South, the “1” in the North, the “2” in the Southwest, the “3” in the East, and the “4” in the Southeast. Each energy will be magnified since it is visiting its own sector. If activated, whether benevolent or malevolent, the energy will be intensified.
The “6” in the Northwest indicates you’ll have to work hard for your money. This is a positive energy to activate.
The “7” in the West indicates people owing you money may not reimburse you, people stealing from you, and deals not going through. “7”represents the “robber and thief” energy; if you have the front door of your home or office in this direction, if you sleep with your head to this direction or if you work facing that direction, the “7” energy will be activated.
The “8” in the Northeast indicates money, wealth, prosperity, honor and respect; it is a positive, powerful energy, magnified since we are in Period 8 and it will be in its own sector during the coming year. If your front door or a frequently used door is in the Northeast, if you sleep or work facing Northeast, you’ll have great potential to make and/or receive money during this Year of the Water Snake.
The “9” in the South indicates celebration, wedding, brilliance, beauty, wisdom, loyalty, power of the mind and adventure.
The “1” in the North indicates money and also intelligence, academic achievements, wisdom, writing, publishing, and romance.
The “2” in the Southwest indicates health problems, particularly in the reproductive and digestive organs, and the stomach. If you presently are sleeping, working, sitting for long periods of time to the Southwest, you may consider moving your bed and your desk for the year of the Water Snake in order to avoid depression, health issues in the mid-section, and if you wish to get pregnant.
The “3” in the East indicates argument, dispute and lawsuits. It is recommended minimize or not activate this energy, unless you are an attorney and in that case want lawsuits.
Finally, the “4” in the Southeast indicates romance, travel, writing and publishing.
Because of the uniqueness of the Year of the Water Snake, it is an important time to apply Feng Shui principles to your home and office with the help of a professional Classical Feng Shui consultant.
