It has been an intense 2020 and I hope you are all well. The Metal Rat is gone, good riddance! We all know what a year it has been with its ups and downs and everything in between.
Today, we celebrate the lunar New Year of the Metal Ox. The Ox is the second animal on the Chinese Zodiac after the Rat. The Ox is methodical, hard-working, logical and tenacious. You can count on the Ox to get the job done. The Ox is deeply loyal and honest, likes to help and makes great contributions to the development of their community and society.
Keeping in mind that each one of us is unique and only based on the twelve animal signs, the Ox is compatible and coexists in harmony with the Rat, Rooster, and Snake; however, the Ox clashes with the Goat/Ram.
It’s a new day, it’s a new year year and we are ready for a change of energy. There is much that can be done to boost the energy in your home and workspace, bring you support and enhance any given situation. If you would like to have an annual Feng Shui assessment for 2021 or a Feng Shui Annual Star Progression to help find out what’s in store for you, contact us for a detailed reading.
1961 was the last year of the Metal Ox. It was an important year with major events: John F. Kennedy became the 35th President of the USA, tensions developed between the USSR and the USA, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Soviets built a wall dividing East and West Berlin, “Freedom Riders” travel throughout the South to promote integration, and the cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin becomes the first human in space.
We can’t wait for a better year and 2021 looks like it will be smoother and more gentle. Yet, not a year of expansion – we will have to wait until 2022 for that.
We’ll continue spending a lot of time at home and most of us won’t be back in our office for a while. This is a year to focus on our home, health, family and friends and close community. Summer should be a turning point to a better direction.
The Rat is gone, illness is coming under control and the pandemic manageable.
The economy may remain slow, but not stagnant. The airline industry may not see a real expansion before 2022.
We can expect significant innovations in science and space exploration.
The Fire (energy, restaurants, entertainment…) and Earth (real estate, mining, technology…) Element industries can expand and do well financially while other industries may still remain slow. The auto industry, banking, transportation, fashion, and media may take longer to recover.
Let’s welcome the Ox with enthusiasm and keep an eye open for my upcoming tips on how to manage the Ox in our home and workspace.
Feng Shui provides support but our lifestyle also depends on our ability to seize opportunities, take action steps and what we do to make our future better.
Happy New Year of The Yin Metal Ox!
