A popularly held belief is that Feng Shui is only for the interior of a space. To the contrary, in Classical Feng Shui, the key to achieving optimal results is how a space is situated in its environment. Of course, we cannot move an ocean, a lake, a mountain or a building but, in most cases, with proper use of Feng Shui principles, we can bring about a better balance.
From a Feng Shui perspective, a road is considered as a river, the traffic on the road represents the flow of the river and the stronger the traffic, the stronger the river flow.
If your house faces a T-junction, you live in a chllenging situation. A T-junction is an intersection
where two roads meet to form a T and can create an excess of negative, aggressive chi, called sha chi. The sha chi comes strongly from the road directly to the property and has a destructive, damaging impact on all occupants of the space. Arguments, loss of money, divorce, accidents and misfortunes occur in this type of locations.
Remedies to a T-junction home or business
If the house or business has no protection to stop the destructive chi, it gets hit directly, especially if it is too close to the road. The door facing the T-junction as well as the front of the house must be protected by something that would be strong enough to stop a moving car. Some type of thick landscaping, a hedge, a wall, or a solid gate will provide protection. If the road has very light traffic, then it may not be such a problem and may not affect the Feng Shui of your house at all or affect it only minimally.
Another option is to relocate the front door so that it does not open directly on the T-junction road.
Whether we live in an urban or rural setting, in a house or an apartment, at the mountain or at the beach, we cannot escape being affected by the environment. It can be an extremely beneficial source of chi that enhances our life or it can have a negative, disastrous influence on the financial, relationship and health areas of our life.
It is important to balance the energy inside and outside our home and office in order to live in harmony but never underestimate the power of the environment.
